XRay Jenkins plugin - Import multiple JUnit test execution results

Valery Yatsynovich September 13, 2017

Hi,

How to import multiple JUnit test execution results using XRay Jenkins plugin? (JUnit result file names are generated randomly)

According to documentation (https://confluence.xpand-addons.com/display/XRAY/Xray+for+JIRA+Jenkins+Plugin#XrayforJIRAJenkinsPlugin-Importingtheexecutionresults.1) it's allowed to import single execution result.

Thanks,
Valery

Hello Valery.

Unfortunately, at the moment Xray Jenkins plugin does not support importing multiple results from a single task. We intend to include this feature in future releases.

We have an issue which details this feature, please check it here.

Hello David,

Do you have any ETA for this feature?

IMHO, this functionality is critical for Jenkins plugin: Jenkins is usually used to execute sets of tests, but plugin proposes to execute single test and to import its results only. this fact makes Xray Jenkins plugin absolutely useless.

Thanks,

Valery

Hello Valery.

No, currently we do not have any ETA, altough this feature is in our roadmap.

I understand your concern. Let me just clarify one important thing:

You can import multiple test case results as long as they are in the same JUnit results file. What you cannot do for now is to import multiple JUnit results files.

Also, in this kind of questions we advise you to reach us, preferably, via our support platform, so we can properly track and give you on time feedbackhttp://jira.xpand-addons.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/2/

Best regards

David
