Why is Team Calendars read-only after license runs out?
i hoped that we could use team calendars without renewing the license if i don't update it after the license run out.
Team Calendars Server licenses, just like most other Server licenses, are perpetual. What expires is your maintenance (access to support, updates, new releases, security patches etc etc), however the product remains operational and does not go into any sort of a limited-feature mode after maintenance expiry. The behavior you're describing matches that of a temp (evaluation) license - when that expires the product does go into a read-only mode. If you're using a full paid license you bought a year ago, and now maintenance expired and the product went into a read-only mode - it sounds like a bug. Can you please file a support ticket on support.atlassian.com and our engineers will look into it?
Thank you.

This is at best disingenuous if not deceptive
A Confluence Team Calendar commercial/academic/starter license entitles you to:
A Confluence Team Calendars license must match the user count and type of the Confluence Server license it is being used with. For instance, a 25 User Commercial Confluence Server license will require a 25 User Commercial Confluence Team Calendars license.
An academic license is available for qualified educational and academic institutions (learn more).

Hi Uwe,
The Team Calendar's behaviour after the license expires is exactly this. After the license is expired Team Calendar will turn into read-only mode until you renew your license.
Cheers
