Why Epic-Link is not shown in 'Stories by Relates to' filter

With story-map you should be able to see the epic and subsequent stories underneath. With 'Stories by Relates to' filter in this plugin, I can see linked stories underneath but Epic Link itself is missing. Any clue?

Epic Link is a separate selection use "stories by Epic Link" (first option) instead of "Stories by Relates to"
