I'm glad you are using a plug-in from one of our vendors and, consequently, giving attention to the great tools made available to Atlassian's products users on the Marketplace.
In order to have this plugin setup, you'll have to configure JIRA's outgoing mail server under the Administrator settings in your JIRA instance. In order to accomplish that, please read through this Knowledge Document: Configuring JIRA's SMTP Mail Server to Send Notifications.
NOTE: You will have to have administrator permission assigned to the profile you logged on to JIRA.
As soon as the configuration is completed, you will see the button to Email the issue on the top of the issue page, as indicated below:
If you have any issue with the configuration, please refer to our vendor's support page or reply to this answer, informing additional details regarding your JIRA setup, like the software version, database type (MySQL, HSQL, PostgreSQL...) and the server's operating system.
