This problem has most certainly been resolved with the latest version of 4.5 of the plugin. Thanks!

I've seen some customers resolve this by upgrading their version of the UPM to the latest. (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.upm.atlassian-universal-plugin-manager-plugin)
What version of the UPM are you using?
