VLAN question / SNMP and WMI scan at the same time

Marcin Pelzner December 18, 2017

1. There is no problem to scan a few vlans if a program is located on a machine that sees all these Hosts. Right?

2. Can a discovery program scan via SNMP and WMI the same ip range?

Ad 1

for discovery program only important thing is to have connection (and credentials) to the host, right? It doesn't matter if it is in other vlan.

Hi Marcin,

I don't understand 1)

about 2)

yes it is possible

then you will get a Device Object (from SNMP)

and a Host Object (from WMI)

at the Discovery-Tool there is an option that you can decide to remove the "double" SNMP Device.
