Under More Actions for a JIRA item, I want to change the label from "Clone" to "Improved Clone". How do I do that?

I just installed the Improved Clone plugin (ICIO) . Now , when I click More Actions for a JIRA issue, I get two Clone options. I know I can remove the default one. But, I want to keep both. I want the default one to be called Clone and the new ICIO one to be called "Clone - Extended". How do I go about changing that label/text?

Here is the link to the ICIO plugin I installed - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/clone.issue.with.selected.subtasks/version/165114

You can do it by changing the ImprovedCloneIssueAction.properties file in th jar.

Modify cloneissue.operation.valiantys property to give the name that you want for the operation!

Did you also remove the existing property on the top? And restarted JIRA?

Jobin,

Thank you for the help. I tried that and it did not work. See below - I added the last line. Did I do something wrong?

cloneissuewithsubtask.clonesubtaskslinks.label=Clone Sub Tasks Links
cloneissuewithsubtask.clonesubtaskslinks.description=Select to clone selected sub tasks links.
cloneissue.operation.valiantys=Clone++

Yes, I thought of that. There is no existing property on the top. And I did restart JIRA.

I attached that properties file. (I renamed it to .txt so that it would upload to Atlassian Answers)

(ImprovedCloneIssueAction.properties.txt)

Which version of the plugin?

1.0.4

we are on jira 4.3.3

I see. That is an old version. I would upgrade an modify the latest compatible version if possible. I don't see 1.0.4.
