The Story Map is missing essential map elements in header control section

In the user manual of the story map addon I saw that there should be additional elemets like "Order by" or "Sort by" which I#m not seeing in my story map. The elements I see are shown in the  attached screenshot.

What do I need to configure to make those elements visible?
