Tempo Scheduler closed periods, but even if I reopen manually a period we cannot log time

I enabled Tempo scheduler for the first time to close September. The email warning and the actual closing of the period worked well. We can no longer log time in Sept. But of course someone needed to go back to Sept so I manually went into the Period Management and found that it listed September as Open for both Users and Admins. But neither the users nor the admins could log time.

So why is it showing open after the scheduler ran? And how do I reopen after the scheduler?

Hi Susan,

the Scheduler and Period Manager are not connected in this way. The Scheduler closes the chosen timeperiod (this can be weekly) for worklogs. To open the period again for a user, you need to give him a grace period ( https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO/Grace+Period ).

The Period manager is managed manually. It is used for the approval process and for accounting ( https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO/Period+Management ). Even if the Scheduler has closed a period, it is open for the approval process until the period gets closed in the period manager.

Hope this helps

Best regards
