Tagging a test case Automated

Pete Carella August 11, 2014

Is there a way to tag a test case in Jira as Automated or Manual? I'd rather not have our manual testers running test cases that have already been automated and I don't see a flag for this.

Hello Pete Carella,

Yes, you can tag a test case in JIRA as Automated or Manual. To do this you can use the Custom field functionality of JIRA as Zephyr supports all the JIRA functionalities.

Please go through the below link for complete decumentation for creating a Custom field.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Adding+a+Custom+Field

Using the above documentation Create a Custom Field "Tag" of Type Label and configure it to the Screens required/all and perform a JIRA indexing.

Now you are able to tag the test case as per the requirement by entering the values for the field "Tag" while creating a Test Case or by editing an exsting testcase.

Thank You.
