Styling / Color question

So I guess I'm being a bit thick - maybe this is obvious to others?

Where it naviabs pullnig its styling from - what settings do I change to affect the colors?

I thought reading the update comments that it should just match the confluence styling now - mine doesn't?

Downgrade completed. I'm sure I'll switch to the latest version when we go to conf 5.x. Thanks

I should have mentioned I'm running Confluence 4.3

Hi Chris

In the latest versions, we have changed the styling of the tabs to match the styling of the Atlassian Design Guidelines: https://developer.atlassian.com/design/tabs.html

Though you could customize the styling by applying CSS styles in your global or space stylesheet. See this comment for more information: http://www.bitvoodoo.ch/plugins/confluence-navitabs-plugin.html#comment-838298298

Hope this helps

The not slected tabs are not grey as with atlassian guide lines doc. Have you tested this with 4.3?

Yes, the Atlassian Design Guidelines (ADG) were introduced in Confluence 5. In older versions of Confluence the tabs are being displayed with the default styles of the Atlassian User Interface (AUI) library.

Would you confirm whether a selected tab and an unselected tab should have different color backgrounds?

Yes, please see the example screenshot on this page about the AUI Tabs: https://developer.atlassian.com/display/AUI/Tabs

As I said before, we use the default markup and styling of Atlassian and didn't customize anything. If you are seeing a different styling of the tabs in your Confluence, then you are probably using a theme which overwrites the styles.

Ok - we have exactly what is in the screenshot on the link.

It looks awful! - I can't see any logic in it at all.

I guess my only option is to downgrade, can't say I can rate this version - its a big backwards step from a user perspective whether you are directly or indirectly taking responsiblity for how it looks!

I see your point, but as always design is a matter of taste.

We decided to adapt to the default styles of Atlassian, because we don't want to fix our custom styles every time Atlassian decides to change the styling of the product again. We don't have unlimited resources and it's a free plugin after all.

Hope you understand that.
