What is the purpose of the roadmap feature?

Ther are currently 2 Roadmaps, one labeled Roadmap and the other Classic Roadmap. The latter is a legacy mode, so we will leave it aside for now and focus on the current Roadmap, the one named so.

It's based on the Scaled Agile Framework(R) methodology of implementing Agile at large scale.
