Stop email notification in confluence

need help writing a plugin to stop getting emails on add/remove of attachment in confluence. I've used attachmentRemoveEvent and AttachmentCreateEvent but where do i specify the email to cancel on these events?

I'm sorry to say that I'm not much of a plugin developer so I'm not able to tell you exactly how to do this but I believe that the following two guides should give you some pointers into plugin development and how notifications work in Confluence:
