ScriptRunner -> Bulk Import Custom Field Values custom field support -> Calculated Text Field

Hi Folks,

Attempting to import into a Custom Calculated Text Field but the Name of custom field config scheme is not presented in the drop down selection under Built-in Scripts. Using Adaptavist ScriptRunner for JIRA Version:4.2.0.5. Is this custom field supported for import, if not what options exist here?

"Calculated" and "script" fields are provided by the add-ons Misc Custom Fields and Script Runner respectively. Another add-on includes "SIL script fields". All of these fields are similar, their value is the result of a script or calculation. Within this assumption, these types are read only fields in almost all circumstances. They sum other fields, they return HTML results, etc and so forth. You cannot and should not be entering a value.

As Udo mentions, you will not be able to import these, they would need to be one of the types he mentions OR they need to extend those types.

To add the last step - import your issue data without thinking about your calculated fields.   Their values will be calculated as you run the import, as though the script had been run when the user had typed the data in.

You can only import values into custom fields that have defined options like Select List, Multi Select List, Multi Check Boxes, Radio Button and Cascading Select List.
