Script to update custom field after comparing value of two other custom fields

Hi Guys,

I need help to create a script to update value of custom field after checking value of two other custom fields.

For e.g. if I have three different custom fields lets say a,b and c. I need to copy value of "b" to "a" post transition and if value of "b" is blank then it should copy value of "c" to "a".

Any help on this would be great help.

what are you using to do that? postfunction? which?

What have you got so far? There are lots of examples of similar, start with something and see what doesn't work.
