Required Behaviours not working with Select List and Radio Button

Hi All-

Good day We have a requirement like “while creating an issue a select list custom field should be marked as required for a particular role (QA)”.

We created a behavior and is not working as expected. The * mark is not appearing for the select list and able to create the issue even when the value is “None” (system one).

We also applied the same behavior for number field, multi check box and radio button. Not working with radio-button as well.

Jira Version :- 5.2.8 Plugin:- 0.5.3

I am running jira 4.4.4 and behaviours plugin 0.5.0 and encountered the same problem.

My workaround was to set the field to be Required in the Field Configuration, then in Behaviours set the field to Optional with an Except Condition of the Transitions I wanted it required in. Ugly but it works.

Addendum: It already is required (shows a red error message if you try to submit without choosing something), but doing what I did makes the red asterisk show up.
