Rendered images are NOT cached

Andy Schönemann October 9, 2013

It seems to me, that the latex-math plugins doesn't cache the rendered images. I use the internal renderer and version 1.7.6.

Every refresh of a confluence site containing latex formulas produces images with other file names. That's why I don't think that they are cached.

You can evaluate cache usage by following the instructions on this page: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Cache+Statistics

There should be a LaTeX Math row in the cache statistics page. If the effectiveness is 0%, then there could be an error in the plugin that is preventing the cache from being used correctly. Otherwise the cache is being used, though you might want to use a longer expiry as described here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Cache+Performance+Tuning

Thank you for your reply! Our cache was too small. Now I got much better performance. I'll monitor that.
