Rename a user: No transitions visible anymore

When I rename users, they are not be able to do transitions in issues anymore, although permission helper detects no problems. Naming them back leads to transitions reappearing again.

This happens which issues created by the user before renaming as well as after renaming.

What may be the cause of this?

I found the problem. It's not working because of the condition "User is in any groups" provided by the plugin "JIRA Suite Utilities". I'll open an issue in their JIRA as soon as their JIRA is working again.

This is probably related to this bug https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-32074. It's likely that you have a workflow that is tied to usernames.
