Reference custom field by name?

Are there any plans to allow referencing custom fields by name? My company is making me work in multiple DEV/Prod environments. So once I write the formula, I need to be able to transition to a different environment.

The problem here is that the environments are not synced, which means that all of my ID's will change once put into Production.

Referencing Custom Fields by name would solve this problem.

The is currently no such plan, but you can create a feature request on our issue tracker at https://innovalog.atlassian.netand I'll look into it.

Awesome, thanks David, I'll get started on that.

I did see a number of helpful examples in here on how to condense all the custom fields into variables so I will definitely be going that route to ease the pain.
