Problems with the Talk InLine Comments Plugin for Confluence v1.6.0 and Internet Explorer 8 and 9

We are having problems with the Talk InLine Comments Plugin for Confluence v1.6.0 and Internet Explorer 8 and 9. Below is a list of the problems we are seeing with the Talk InLine Comments Plugin and IE 8 and 9:

  1. Fresh comments added in IE display only the first comment on the page and does not display any of the subsequently added comments on the page.
  2. Clicking on any of the other comments, still displays only the first comment. This is the case even if we view this page in Firefox or Chrome after the comments are created in IE.
  3. We are also facing issues with editing and replying to these comments as the text we add or edit is lost when we save and refresh.
  4. We are able to view all comments which originated from other browsers when we open that page in IE.
  5. For pages with initial comments which originated from other browsers, we are able to add and view new comments added from IE but these results are unpredictable. It works in some cases and doesn't in some cases.

We are running Confluence v4.2.8. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello There,

As these problems that you mentioned are strictly related with the usage of the Talk InLine Comments plugin, I would suggest you to make a contact with the plugin's provider that is the Atlassian Expert StiltSoft, you can make a contact with them by the following:

support@stiltsoft.com

http://stiltsoft.com/

Probably they will be able to provide you a better assistance with the plugin and help you to solve these problems. In case of third-party plugins it is also recommended to try to obtain this kind of help with the provider of the plugin.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

LJ.

Luiz we already tried to contact the vendor but they have not contacted us since January 29, 2013. Not sure why but that is why I posted the question here. I need a resolution soon so we can move forward with this newly purchased plugin.

We are testing the latest version of the Confluence Talk InLine Comments plugin v1.7.0 to see if these defects have been addressed. I will update this question with any information we find with this version.
