Problems displaying both Epic and other issue types with WBS Gantt

Hi

We are running downloadable JIRA version 5.2.5 with WBS Gantt version 5.2.5b_20130628 and have problems to display both Epics and other issue types in the same Gantt chart.

This happens both when selecting a whole project or filter results.

Is this a known issue which can be fixed with later version of WBS Gantt?

Appreciate any help as this is blocking adoption of portfolio management.

Mattias, Is this still a problem for you? We are succesfully using both epics and other issue types in WBS gantt.

Hi, so you can see a mix of EPIC and other issue types in WBS Gantt? Maybe something is wrong with my query, but even though I select the whole project other issue types are not displayed.

Also, do you have a smart query for how to show Epics with connected stories?

Yes, I can see a mix. Do you have all your issue types defined in the WBS admin section? There is a ticket section where you set up your issue types.

As far as a smart query, we use a free plug-in called ScriptRunner. Among other things, this plug-in adds some inhanced features to JQL. It will let you make queries like:

issueFunction in linkedIssuesOf("key=ABC-1234", "is Epic of")

This query will pull back all the issues that are in the epic with a key of ABC-1234. You could add onto it by doing something like this:

issueFunction in linkedIssuesOf("key=ABC-1234", "is Epic of") AND type = Story

Regular JQL does have a function to pull linked issues but it ignores the epic links for some reason.

Thanks a lot for your tips. We are not using ScriptRunner, so maybe this is the reason they don't show up. Also, I cannot find any WBS admin section for this tool where you can select issue types. The manual doesn't show that either: Intallation: http://www.ricksoft.jp/images/gantt_install_guide_ver0730e.pdf Usage: http://www.ricksoft.jp/images/gantt_user_guide_ver0730e.pdf http://www.ricksoft.jp/en/wbsganttchart/wg-doc

I made a new WBS and now the other types show up ,but I cannot get them to display under the EPIC ticket in a tree structure, they just are listed at the same level.
