Problem with Jira Gerrit plugin after Jira 7 upgrade

Mikko Korhonen October 31, 2015

Hi,

we just ugprded our JIRA server from 6.4 to 7.

However, JIRA Gerrit plugin is not working correctly after upgrade.
I have understood and that the plugin should be combatible with the JIRA 7 server version as shows the add-ons admin view also.

Plugin connects correctly to Gerrit server, but it does not show the related changes in tab views.

In the Gerrit Reviews Tab following error message is displayed:

Error rendering 'com.meetme.plugins.jira.gerrit-plugin:gerrit-reviews-tabpanel'. Please contact your JIRA administrators.

And in logs:

2015-10-30 08:47:51,615 http-nio-8080-exec-29 ERROR user 527x296416x1 1ki6yap 127.0.0.1 /browse/REQ-1251 [c.a.j.plugin.issuetabpanel.IssueTabPanelInvokerImpl] Exception thrown while trying to call getActions() for com.meetme.plugins.jira.gerrit-plugin:gerrit-reviews-tabpanel (Show Gerrit reviews related to an issue in an issue tab panel.)

2015-10-30 08:47:51,615 http-nio-8080-exec-29 WARN user 527x296416x1 1ki6yap 127.0.0.1 /browse/REQ-1251 [c.atlassian.ozymandias.SafePluginPointAccess] Unable to run plugin code because of 'java.lang.ClassCastException - com.atlassian.jira.user.DelegatingApplicationUser cannot be cast to com.atlassian.crowd.embedded.api.User'.

Any advise ?

BR,

---Timo

We are seeing exactly the same problem after upgrade to JIRA 7.0.0.

I have now raised this with the authors: link

I am using version 3 of JIRA Gerrit Plugin and JIRA version 7.0.7 and have exactly the same problem (didn't work with JIRA 7.0.5 either).

The plugin has been updated to work with JIRA 7.x in version 3.0: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.meetme.plugins.jira.gerrit-plugin/versions#b47

I have stumbled upon the same problem. Just upgraded from 6.3.13 to 7.0.2. Using JIRA Gerrit Plugin version 2.2

That actually looks like a bug in the addon, like it hasn't been recompiled for JIRA 7 properly.

I'd raise this directly with the authors
