Performance issue

Unknown July 3, 2013

Hello good have performance issues and support Jira tells us the following:

I then look at your plugins, which contains one suspicion plugin, the Gantt Chart plugin by Soyatech.

I researched that there was a known performance problem, which was already been fixed:

However, there are customer that seems to say the problem has not been fixed:

The best way to isolate the problem and narrow down the scope, would you mind disabling the Gannt Chart plugin for the time being to see whether the problem re-occurs?

There is any solution to avoid this performance problem without having to disable the plugin?

No.

You do not yet know if the performance issue is due to the plugin. There are two ways to find out

  • Someone (probably Soyatech) confirms that there is definitely an issue because they've found a bug or have done the testing that proves it
  • Test it by removing the plugin for yourself and monitoring performance. If no problem, it's the plugin and you have to make the decision about living with the problem while you wait for a fix, or pulling it. If you still get a problem, then it's something else.

Your only other option is to leave the plugin enabled, live with the slow-down until you can positively identify it and hope that it's not too much of a problem. While doing that, you can try looking for other culprits, but if it is that plugin, you could be wasting vast amounts of time running in the wrong direction.

You can enable the DEBUG option of our plugin to see where the bottleneck is. The detail information is saved in the JIRA Log. If you need helps, please contactsupport.jgcp@soyatec.com

Here is the documentation to enable the DEBUG option:
