I installed the nested variables plugin but it does not substitute buildNumber in its prebuild task.

simple 07-Okt-2017 09:06:49 Nested Variable found in ${bamboo.deploy.release}, however no replacement value found for nested variable '${bamboo.buildNumber}'
Anyone an idea why the variable is not found? I thought at this point the variable buildNumber should be avaible.
