Hi,
We are planning to use scroll versions for our technical documentation. We have to maintain documentation for multiple releases and multiple languages. For instance we have current version structure where an additional level of indentation indicates a dependency.
Fallback functionality The 'fallback' functionality of Scroll version, allows us to create a version '1.1.0-fr' where part of the pages have been translated into french, while others are 'inherited' from the 'parent' version. This allows us to translate the pages as we go.
Multiple hierarchy Would there be a way to implement 'multi hierarchy', in the sense that for instance a 'french page' in release 2.1.0 is either taken from
And so on ...

Hi Francis,
Translations are kind of another dimension to version management. You are basically boiling down this dimension to be sub-versions of the actual versions (i hope that sentence makes sense).
Unfortunately we do not have the functionality to support different ways of fallbacks - as you say this would mean to build another hierachy tree.
I have created a feature request for handling translation management: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/VSN-457 (We actually have put some more thought into translation support. Let me know, if you are interested in more details.)
Cheers,
-Stefan
Hi Francis,
I just wanted to inform you that we have released Scroll Translations last week: http://blog.k15t.com/2013/10/%28announcement%29-scroll-translations%3A-internationalize-your-confluence-content
With Scroll Translations you can translate your content either directly in Confluence or use the connection to a Translation Management System.
If you are interested, you can download a 30-day trial version in the Atlassian Marketplace: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.k15t.scroll.scroll-translations
If you have any questions regarding Scroll Translations, please feel free to ask, we are happy to help.
Cheers,
Nils

Thanks,
It is a great add-on - especially the side by side translation capabilities + the fact that the page can have multiple titles (in each language).
