Jira integration with Stash

Robert Cooper March 5, 2014

I am working with Stash now, hoping to start using Jira later this year. Is it possible to connect an item in Jira to multiple Stash projects since the associated work spans across them?

I think the answer to my question is this - if a "story" requires work in several repositories, there must be at least one subtask for each repository. A subtask can then be linked to work in a branch of a single repository.

Hi Robert,

Stash provides integration with JIRA and Bamboo.

Please refer to the linked documentation for more details on how they work.

i have created application links between stash and bamboo, but under a plan's notifications tab, it still complains "application link is needed between two systems".

very confusing and not helpful error message.

Hi Edwin,

I am sorry you had problem integrating the two products.

As described on our document, "To see Bamboo results in Stash" you should configure only a Basic Authentication AppLink between the two of them. Please make sure you have no "Trusted Apps" or "OAuth" enabled.

Please let us know how it goes from here.

Best regards,
