Jira gets very slow with many ictime entries

Ralf Grenzing January 19, 2017

Hi,

we are using ictime for our daily work and therefore on some JIRA issues have many ictime entries. For a "normal" JIRA Issue the issue appears on our infrastructure instatnly (<1 sec). In contrast another issue that have many ictime entries it takes 1 Minute end 12 seconds to show up in the browser and even then there is a error "Unable to render element due to an error" I attached the JIRA log file

Please provide some addition information.

a)some numbers on projects, number of Issues per project and the number of worklog entries you have in the issue you mentioned. Number of users (License type).

 b) database you are using

c) have you confirmed that you are not running out of storage on your database server. Most databases reduce throughput in case of low disk space

d) OS system resource usage

e) are you located near by the JIRA Server installation

Hello, Mr. Grenzing asked me to get back to you.
Sorry it took us so long...

While reviewing this issue I noticed that the problem seems to be solved!

The specific JIRA issue that produced an error after loading for over a minute (because of the high number of time entries) now only needs a few seconds to load.

Maybe the performance issue was addressed in an earlier ictime update?

Best regards

Yes, it has been solved in the meantime.
Nevertheless thanks for your feedback.
