Jira Rest URL and Base URl are different

After migrating from 6.4.12 to 7.0.11, Jira  base url has been retained. But cannot use Jira base url for rest api purposes.

Both of them are different for same instance. Where did go wrong?

Base URL : soc-jira-et.nl.eu.abnamro.com:8443

Rest URL(which is responding): http://nllipadcn38807:8080/rest/api/2/issue/{key}

You don't usually use 8443 for a connection and I suspect you might have a proxy here as well. What do you get from http://nllipadcn38807:8080 ?

More importantly though, what do you want Jira to run on?  Where should its base url be?

When i click on http://nllipadcn38807:8080 it gets re directed to https://nllipadcn38807:8443/secure/Dashboard.jspa(but no screen appears in front, just a blank white screen)

I want my base URL to be https://soc-jira-et.nl.eu.abnamro.com:8443

The rest apis are working on same URL but with different port. For example i ran this API:

http://soc-jira-et.nl.eu.abnamro.com:8080/rest/api/2/issue/{ticket number}

and it gave me all ticket details.

So, I have 2 problems here:

1) My base URL is https://soc-jira-et.nl.eu.abnamro.com:8443 but when I click on this I get a blank white screen with nothing printed on it.

Odd that when I click on

https://soc-jira-et.nl.eu.abnamro.com:8443/login.jsp then my Jira instance works fine.

2) Rest APIs are working fine on http://soc-jira-et.nl.eu.abnamro.com:8080/rest/api/2/issue/

but not on

Hence port number needs to be 8443 as per https protocols.

Please assist.
