Is there a way to monitor a specific issue type?

Jason Marshall February 5, 2019

What I would like to do is monitor Jira for a specific issue type when it is created and alert a channel in teams. Is this something that is possible now, or in the future?

Dear @Jason Marshall,

It is possible if you are using our connector for Jira server.

When connecting your Jira instance to channel in MS Teams, you must set up a webhook.
image2019-1-28 17_0_19.pngIn the events section, you can add a custom JQL query to trigger notifications only for specific issue types. For example, you could try: issuetype = (issue type 1, issue type 2, ...)

If you would have any other questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at microsoftteamsintegrationssupport@softserveinc.com

Best regards,

@Jason Marshall

You can have Jira to send a webhook to Slack when the ticket is created/transitioned to your status.
Create the webhook in Jira, add it to post-function on your transition.
