Hi Craig,

For now Issue dimension does not have level of Sub-tasks; and Parents are also not imported as separate dimension. So there is no straight forward way of doing this.

If you use JIRA Agile, you should be able to import the Epic Link dimension though. You can combine this Epic Link dimension with Issue dimension on Rows and select "Nonempty". In this way Epic link to Issues will be displayed.

Further it depends on what measures you would like to get. There are several calculated measures "... with sub-tasks", that display, e.g., Original estimated hours with sub-tasks. You can as well add Issue Type filter in Pages to display only certain Issue types, e.g. Stories.

I hope this helps a bit. On eazyBI side we will think of adding new hierarchy level or dimension to get parent and sub-task links.

Kind regards,
Lauma

Just to be clear in what we are trying to accomplish. It would be a gantt chart such as this. Duration would be based on Planned Start and Planned End

Thank you, Craig, for good explanation! We have added task to be able to configure additional hierarchy levels in Issue dimension.
