Yes, just you need to add the attribute "plugins-version="2"" in atlassian-plugin.xml

ex:the first line should be like follows

<atlassian-plugin key="${project.groupId}.${project.artifactId}"
	name="${project.artifactId}" plugins-version="2">

If i did like that i am getting attachec exception.What might be the reason

What is CreateSubTaskActionConfig and where is it found in the JIRA installation?

I have written this class for creating customized subtask.

public class CreateSubTaskActionConfig extends
CreateSubTaskAction

Hi Suresh,

I assume this class does not live in the same jar as your v2 plugin? Plugin 2 plugins cannot see plugin 1 plugins easily as they use different class loaders.

So you could either bundle your CreateSubTaskActionConfig class in your v2 plugin or you could have it in a separate v2 plugin with OSGi headers configured in the POM to export the class(es) you want to share.

See this question for a bit more info on getting v2 plugins to see other classes and here for setting OSGi headers.

Hi Thomas,

I have plug-in it is plug-in1 type.So i need to convert in to the plug-in 2 type.

what are the steps i need to follow.

I have changed plug-in version in to 2 in atlassian.plug-in.xml.

It is type of subtask creation inside MoreAction button in the view issue screen.

All the classes are there in the same package.There is no dependecy betwwen the plug-ins.

Steps to follow:

You need to add plugins-version=2 like Rambanam Prasad says.

You need to delete the jar from WEB-INF\lib and install it in <jira home>\plugins\installed-plugins instead.

You need to resolve any errors due to classes contained in other jars/plugins no longer being found (as I described earlier). That's it, that's what worked for me.
