Insight on Customer Portal

Tim Patrick May 8, 2017

we are building jira service desk at the moment along with insight.

when a customer logs on tocreate a ticket, i want the system to recognise which client they are from as soon as they log in. this will then only show the relevant options in the later drop down lists where only their options will appear instead of the hundreds that could exist.

example, user A clogs on from client A. when tey log in, it recognises this. when they then select the dropdown list to say which prosuct they use, it will only show the products they have. from this, it will then only show the versions of the product they have.

any ideas how to do this?

Hi Tim,

You have probably get this to work, but you can configure the custom field to only show the "user related objects". This can also be done by filtering objects by IQL and use the placeholder "currentReporter" or "currentUser".

Read more about IQL here: https://documentation.riada.se/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=13573623

Let me know if you need any more help about this.

Cheers //Mathias
