Insight Read-Only fields available without Service Desk?

I have configured an Insight Read-Only field to show on an issue view screen. However, it doesn't appear to show when it should have a value. Is this because it's being used in a regular JIRA instance and not Service Desk?

There should not matter if you use it with regular Jira or Service desk. The custom fields from Insight can be used for both. 

However the insight custom fields are located below all standard fields:
