What's the question here?
Using Behaviours Plugin i made one custome field X as read only. It works fine in edit screen and makes X as read only. But in earlier version of Jira we cannot edit the values in view screen but in latest Jira 5.1 we have inline edit which allows us to edit the values inspite it is readonly by Behaviours Plugin. Hope i am clear

Still not quite a question. Are you asking if the behaviours plugin can block these edits? If so, then no, it can't. Jamie is looking at it. Consider turning off inline edit

What Nic said. I haven't even begun the process of deciding whether to update the plugin for 5.1 and inline editing.
