I'd like to report on Categories in Tempo instead of Accounts. Is this possible? Where is the Tempo data stored? Is is possible to run sql server reporting services against the JIRA database and get Tempo data?
You can create a report on Categories through the Account Timesheet. The Account Timesheet can be set to show the worklgos on a Category by choosing the Category form the Filter. Please take a look at https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO0711/Account+Timesheet for more information.
We store most of the Tempo specific data in the JIRA property tables but some data is stored with the JIRA Active Objects plugin. This means that all the Tempo data is in the JIRA database and is backed/restored just like other JIRA data.
The data in the property tables is stored in a proprietary XML format and the Active Objects tables are just normal database tables.
Note that we can change the format/layout at any time and that we do not support any direct access or manipulation of the data even though users can do so with a little SQL and XML knowledge.
