Images are not displayed in the Gmail Mail ?

Hi All,

I am sending mail using smtp server in jira.Mail is sent properly but the images which I sent in mail is not displayed in Gmail. But When I sent mail in other email messengers like yahoo. It is displayed properly.

My actual image url is : http://localhost:2990/jira/images/mail/logo.jpg

Gmail Server appended some extra code before the image url.The extra code is look like this:

https://ci4.googleusercontent.com/proxy/NYdPuUt6nmsZ-RojCADV3-DiiqgJcj2_JnjJOEUcCDx7i24C392nf9A-to2rUisAeC633fnhkHB2H6mdPqAegYAy2pG5xj8=s0-d-e1-ft#http://localhost:2990/jira/images/mail/logo.jpg
Hereby, I attached Screenshot of my mail for reference.

Does anyone knows how to solve this issue?

Thanks & Regards,

Is there a reason for the groovy tag?

No.. This happen because of Gmail Server appended extra code before the image url.

Well, it's happening because you're using a base url of "localhost".

This issue would happen anytime you view this mail outside of the local network from which it was generated. It will happen when viewing this in any email service, like Outlook.com, if you viewed it on the road without a VPN that could resolve the link, or if you forward it to someone outside of the local network.

The fix would be for Atlassian to embed all the images in the email instead of linking to them.
