How to make a post function to execute Groovy script in a Jira production system?

Hello everyone, I'm just a beginner in Groovy and would like to ask how to create a post function to run some Groovy script? Then how to test that post function in a Jira system to see if the Groovy script is actually executed? Thank you!

Hi,

I'd use Jamie's script runner plugin:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.onresolve.jira.groovy.groovyrunner

You can then create groovy scripts and add them as post-functions to your workflow transitions.

I would then test them on a dev server / environment. Jamie's got some neat example scripts and built-in scripts aswell:
