How to get defects to show up in a Zephyr report generated from Zephyr search?

Nicole April 3, 2014

I have a list of test results from the 'Search test execution' that I would like generate into a report, but the exported excel is missing the all the defects reported through the test case execution.

I've checked for a 'Defects' column. but there is none.

How do I get defects to show up in my report?

Thanks,

Better Excel Plugin can export Zephyr data, including executions and the defects associated with execution and concrete test steps.

Read the Zephyr to Excel export details, check out some export samples and watch this tutorial video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6XgPCY6mqc

Hi Nicole,

There is not a way to export out the defects linked to test cases or their test steps from the Zephyr for JIRA UI. When you do an export you will get what the execution status is overall, what the test steps execution statuses are, and any comments you placed during execution.

If you are searching for more of a traceability report, you are going to want to use ZAPI. ZAPI is our Zephyr for JIRA API's. Not only do they allow you to bring automation into Zephyr for JIRA but they also allow you to grab raw data to make customize reporting and charts. Below is some information to help you get started using ZAPI:
