How to expand input form variables inside the Notification Post content

In the Post request body in the Notification, I can access ${BUTTON_FORM_DATA}, but it's the entire JSON of the input form. Is there a way to dereference a specific value. For example (citing the example form in the readme): ${BUTTON_FORM_DATA}.var1 or ${BUTTON_FORM_DATA.var1}  "option2_name"
