I see there were ten releases in 2012. Does each release require a new solution to be deployed in SharePoint or are most updates exclusive to the Confluence server?
I manage the Confluence side but we have a different team that manages SharePoint and we want to understand the impact to that team...
Thanks
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Generally you need to keep the version on the Confluence server and the version on the SharePoint farm in sync. We don't test running one half of the product against an older half on the other "side".
For minor versions, you will probably find that it's not a problem (eg. running 1.6.4 on Confluence and 1.6.3 on SharePoint will work) but if you run into any problems, it's going to be the first thing that the support engineer tells you to change :-)
Hope this helps,
Joe.
