How can I create a parameterized REST query with ScriptRunner for Confluence?

Steve Goodrich February 8, 2019

I'm trying to enhance our Confluence experience by adding graphs of project status data retrieved via REST API queries from sources such as TestLink (NOTE: there are other REST data providers also; TestLink is just one example).  These queries would differ from one to the next depending on the specific REST path, parameters to be sent, etc.  I would like to be able to create a single REST query macro that I can add to each project page and then customize by changing macro parameters as needed.

I just discovered that our Confluence Server installation has ScriptRunner installed.  Is this something that can be done with ScriptRunner?  If so, can anyone provide me with an example or starting point -- or multiple examples/starting points -- for what I'm trying to do?

Thanks!
