How can I Inserting a LINK instead of a diagram?

While EDITing pages, the ADD | Diagram menu function does not return or show (or save?) a link to the drawing being edited.  Consequently the full drawing is inserted into the page I am editing taking up a large amount of screen space and I have more to insert.

Traditional Wiki pages offered a few options for displaying images (preview and links) to solve this problem.

Are there any options for showing a LINK or size-specified image?

If you go into page edit, select the diagram then "edit macro", you can select the size of the viewer.
