Groovy scripting

I'm new user on JIRA, and for some customisations I have to build my own scripts on groovy.
Groovy looks like to Java, but I have never been good in POO programming, but anyway I can manage....

I want to begin my own scripts on groovy, could somebody help me?

I don't know where to begin.

The first thing I have noticed is that we have to find out which API to import: import com.atlassian.jira.ComponentManager....But how do we know which one to import?

Hi Robi,

Have you had a look at the page on setting up a development environment in Idea on the ScriptRunner documentation.

You will find creating scripts inside of an IDE much easier as this will assist with telling you things such as what imports you should use or what methods are available.

I hope this helps
