Groovy : execute a script as a service

Céline M January 22, 2015

hi,

We use a JIRA 4.4.3 and Groovy runner 2.0.7.

I would like call a building script like a service. Is it possible?

To be more precise, I have a grovy script to execute every hours, but deployed a groovy script isn't easy for us (have to request to production team and wait some days...). I would like add it via JIRA interface.

Any idea?

Thank you for your help.

JIRA 4.4 and SR 2.0.7 are rather one combination, anyway - Scriptrunner is supporting Groovy script as a service - see Services.

But your question is how to deploy such script over web. There is no such direct possibility. But may be you could upload the script as an attachment specific issue XYZ-123 wink and construct absolute path to that (JIRA_HOME/data/attachments/XYZ/XYZ-123/script.groovy).

Other possibility: fire an event by a service (And create a groovy script listener)

But I don't know how do it...
