Field validators in JIRA 6

I installed JIRA Suite Utilities 1.4.7 on JIRA 6 and in the Create Issue Screen the required field validator doesn't work(is not showing any warning, simply nothing happens...). Problem: We have a built-in field, which should be mandatory: “Affected version”. The user doesn’t introduce any value in this field and press OK. Result: Nothing happens. We expect: A warning to be displayed, if a mandatory field is not filled. It worked fine in JIRA 4. Could you give us an advice on it, please?

The solution is not related to Suite Utilities, we have some custom proxy settings and all warning messages were converted wrong.

I guess Christina and Sven have different issues, see https://jsutil.atlassian.net/browse/JSUTIL-210 from Christina and https://jsutil.atlassian.net/browse/JSUTIL-219 from Sven. I will have a look at 219 today. For Christina there is not much I can do, the validator is simply using JIRA standard functionality, and thus I am unable to override the way JIRA will return an error back to the browser.
