Epic Sum Up Time Sheet Displays 'Tempo Timesheet' not User name

Mallory Cochrane September 17, 2018

We use JIRA Cloud with Tempo Timesheets for all our users to log their time on individual issues. We recently added Epic Sum Up so that we can see total time spent on an Epic and all issues within the Epic by user. When clicking on the progress bar of the summary panel, and then selecting the Time Sheet tab, the time sheet displays all hours logged separated by issue and includnig a "User" column. However, it is displaying "Tempo Timesheet" instead of the users' names. Is there a way to have the individual user names displayed instead of "Tempo Timesheet"?

Hi Mallory,

When a user logs work with Tempo on Cloud, the Tempo Timesheets plugin updates JIRA’s time spent field on the issue, as many Reports and functionalities are relying on this field.

Tempo is now residing in it's own system, and using it's own database, by informing JIRA which user created a Worklog, we may be breaking the View All Worklog permission, as once this information is within JIRA, we can't protect it anymore, and JIRA will display the information in various places.

The Epic Sum Up plugin retrieves the time spent from the JIRA database and can therefore not get the information about the user who created the worklog when the worklog has been created in Tempo.

@Susanne Götz _Tempo_ Thanks for the help! We opted to switch to Roll-Up Reports, which is meeting our needs so far.
