We are using the JEMH plugin. Anyone using "Bug Watcher" to watch a Project are getting duplicate emails. Anyone know how to stop this?
Hi Dave, I suppose the problem is that JEMH is configured with event notifications.
By default, Bug Watcher relies on JIRA notifications and will dispatch notification emails to project watchers for events where the All Watcher is configured in the Notification Scheme.
Additionally to this, Bug Watcher allows you to select the events you want to get notified on.
In both cases, emails are delivered through JIRA's notifiation mechanism.
JEMH and Bug Watcher does not have any interaction to be able to prevent duplicate emails. Both do their jobs independently.
Most probably you cannot use both plugins for the same thing.
However, Bug Watcher combined with standard JIRA Notifications will not result in duplicate emails as Bug Watcher realizes the cases if a user was notified by JIRA and will not send a second notification.
