The favourites plugin shows up on the internal ticket field, but would this also show up on the client side? Would they see that we have favourited one of their issues if we clicked "Add to favourites" on the ticket?

As far as I can tell you can not. I added some favs as one user then logged into another user and the favs were not there for that user. Hope this helps!
