Does Secure Content macro pass authentication to LDAP?

Does Praecipio's "Secure Content" macro pass the password input all the way through to LDAP for a fresh up/down authentication, or does it rely on some kind of local cache? I ask because we're wondering whether it'd be compatible with a SecurID setup where the passwords change from minute to minute.

Secure Content uses Confluence's internal authentication API so it should support any login mechanism that Confluence itself supports.
