Before the scheduled maintenance has started, does the incident display on the service desk portal?

Scheduled maintenance doesn't appear on the customer portal until the component's status has actually changed to Scheduled Maintenance. It's a bit tricky as the StatusPage automation lets you trigger a reminder to subscribers an hour before maintenance starts, so you might want to get that heads-up on the customer portal as well. But unfortunately, that's not how the integration is set up. Unless the component statuses have actually changed from "Operational", there's no message in the customer portal.
